Not just a clanging symbol

I have had a couple of people remind me recently that when I am feeling disconnected from God, the Psalms are a great place to spend some time.  Last night, my wife, Caroline, reminded me of one of my favorites - Psalm 150.

Praise the Lord.[a]
Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
    praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord
I have posted frequently about how important music is in our lives and it is refreshing to be reminded that God loves music, too.  I encourage you to spend some time meditating on one or more Psalms that speak to you.
